TV9 Chetana fought for hut dwellers housing and could achieve it after nearly a year. 249 hut dwellers of Hyderabad’s Rajendranagar mandal, Attapur, Bhupal Nagar have been allotted 60 feet land each in a 6 acre plot at Gandham Guda.

Slum dwellers get roof over heads

TV9 Chetana has achieved the impossible!!! The homeless living in Sivaji bridge slum near Musi river finally get a roof above their heads!! 150 Basket weaving families were handed over possession certificates of JNNURM houses. Thanks to TV9’s initiative, the Collector & RDO has responded positively and they assured allotments very soon! 

Care for the Elderly

Elders should be active, exercise, play sudoku, puzzles and other mind games to keep their memory fit.  TV9  Naveena in a discussion involving a team of experts from Roshni Counselling Centre, debated on the elder’s health conditions and how family support is important.

Tv9 Supports Social Cause

Come October and I remember World Mental Health Week for the Elderly. It is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. People should really get themselves educated on these health issues, especially in today’s times , when we over work and get stressed out. It’s good to see TV9 telecast promos and scrolls and working for the cause.    

HIV, AIDS ..

HIV, AIDS .. these words no more scare us..thanks to the wide spread awareness! But societal stigma still continues, I think.  Doctors supposed to treat the infected sensitively, have been denying them treatment.  A few Bold Doctors have come forward and are voluntarily offering treatment. They are bold enough to perform operations! APSACS is assisting them.  TV9 showcased their activities in  Naveena program.

Joy back in A Child’s life!

Children want to run, tease, play with friends, but when they feel too weak to do even simple things and probably have a heart disease , their parents are shattered. From where can they source money for operation? TV9 CEO Ravi Prakash is in the forefront when it comes to helping a child have heart surgery. As part of TV9’s initiative “Saving Little Hearts” many operations were conducted.

Home Sweet Home!

For those who lost everything in flood fury that devastated Kurnool, TV9 gave a helping hand! CEO Ravi Prakash was the first among other media channels who rushed to their help. Now, he is thanked whole heartedly for giving a roof above their heads! TV9 had identified land in Kurnool and with the assistance of A.P Housing Board built houses in TV9 Prajanagar that now has all facilities one could ask for.

TV9 Campaign on Cancer

An initiative to enhance life quality, Tv9 aims to minimize the effect of cancer on society through creating awareness with its campaigns, promos and scrolls. Tv9 has been in partnership with social organizations like Ushalaxmi Breast Cancer Foundation, Jagruthi Cancer Awareness Foundation, MNJ and KIMS for conducting medical camps. Tv9 also organizes the Pink Ribbon Awareness Walk every October in collaboration with Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation.
